There are approximately 7 .53 billion people in the earth. This is the generation of Adam. God created every single one of these people with a purpose. Humanity is not an accident. God has revealed his intent for humanity and his desire for us in his Holy Scripture.
Preface
“As is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” Lu.3: 4-6
This text is speaking of John the Baptist and the special ministry he had of preparing the way of the Lord Jesus, God in the flesh. He was a real character who dwelled much in the desert, eating locust and etc. and wore camel skins for clothing. He doesn't seem to be the man most people would consider a good choice to prepare all flesh, to receive the most Holy. He was not a scholar or a priest. Not a religious man or a political figure. This confirms the truth Paul spoke of:
" If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church." 1 Corinthians 6: 4
Or what the Lord himself said,
“Ye are they which justify yourselves before men, but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. " Luke 16: 15
This book is being written because God put on my heart.
When I ask Him for confirmation of His will of writing it or not. This is the text He gave me.
John was to prepare the way of the physical Lord Jesus Christ. However, all believers are called to be ambassadors for our Saviour. All believers are commanded to preach the gospel to be a voice in the wilderness. To preach repentance as John did. There are mountains that need to be brought down, valleys to be filled, the crooked needs made straight and the rough needs made smooth.
As believers, we are responsible to do everything we can to bring the Lost souls of the Generation of Adam into the fold of God.
I trust this book will help some lost to find their way.
Chapter One
Adam
" And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul." Genesis 2: 7
" And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Genesis 2: 18
Her name was Eve. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created him; male and female created them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Gen.1: 27,28
I believe we could say they did as they were commanded; today we have approximately 7 .53 billion people in the earth. This is the generation of Adam.
The Almighty Creator knew what He was doing. He had prepared a place for mankind to dwell with everything he would need to live comfortably in the garden of Eden.
He had prepared much more than a place to dwell for a while here on the earth but as we continue this volume, you will see God had Eternal Life in mind for All (that is who would believe Him) of Adams race.
Let us think about our Creator God; it is essential to know Him in order to understand His work, I confess my need to know Him better and to understand His purpose in all that He is doing with Adams race. However, the word of God has been given to us as well as the Holy Spirit these two together give us a fair amount of knowledge of our Creator.
Let's take the fact we know He is a wonderful creator. I do say wonderful, we are far from uncovering all that He created. The universes are so vast they appear to be limitless in number and size. Then there are the wonders of the microscopic, scientist are still only on the fringe of discovering her mysteries.
God is omnipresent (He is everywhere all the time) right now he is in the remotest place on earth but in your living room. He is omniscient ( all-knowing) there is nothing he doesn't know and nothing is hidden from Him. “ For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do., ” Heb.4: 12,13
He is the omnipotent, (all-powerful). There is nothing He cannot do, except lie, and I love that about Him. He is Holy, He is Love personified. He is what love is. He is Spirit and is worthy to be worshiped in Spirit and in truth.
" The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
Proverbs 9: 10 I pray both you, the reader and yours truly will grow in wisdom and understanding of the Holy.
Another mind-boggling thing about God is He is eternal. He has no beginning and no end. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is immune to time. He always sees the past, present, and future clearly. He sees the beginning and the end of time. Soon time will be no more. Time has a purpose for Him (He created it) but he is not limited by it like Adams Generation. This is the little I have discovered of the Great “I am”.
Chapter Two
Purpose
Obviously, such a wise and marvelous Creator as this had a purpose for the Generation of Adam.
I do not pretend to be an authority of why God does what he does. He is God and He always exceeds in wisdom and majesty. The Apostle Paul claimed to be the least of all saints concerning these matters, I don't know what less than that is but I am by far that.
" Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Ep. 3: 8-11
Our Eternal God had an Eternal purpose for creating man. We read in Genesis. “ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
Gen 1: 26,27 Man was created in the image of God and God is Eternal.
Adam was formed from the dust of the ground, God is Spirit. That isn't the same image. Adam was born with the ability to sin. He was created innocent nevertheless he had the potential of sin. We know this because he did. But God isn't finished with us yet.
God is love, for a man to be made in His image he will need to know love. This made it necessary for man to need forgiveness. Forgiveness that he doesn't deserve. The Son of God laying down His life for him results in not only he knows God's’ love but he will be in love.
The man, that will be in the image of God is still being formed. He will be in the perfect image of God, wow that is truly something to consider. Miserable weak corruptible sinners are to be made in the image of God.
This man that will be without sin and made in the image of God; Is a corporate body of believers and Christ Jesus will be the head of this body or the husband if you please. The Eternal purpose is for the Son of God to have a bride.
This is a high calling let us walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called, for we are to be the bride. The bride will be the prize that our Father will enjoy putting on display.
" And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife." Revelation 21: 9
Chapter Three
The Church.
The wife of Christ is known as the Church, the word church means the “called out ones”. Called out of the world of sinners, The Generation of Adam, into the body of Christ to be conformed into the image of God.
Like Paul said so well.
“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness”. Ef.4: 17-24 This is the will of God for the believers.
The Church was not born as most are being taught on the day of Pentecost. Although this was an important historical event that had been promised. The Son of Man, Jesus, had been with us on earth for three and a half years and He did not want to leave them comfortless. They had the privilege of knowing Christ in the flesh but it was time for them to know God the Father, as yet they had not received the Holy Spirit. The disciples had not received the Holy Spirit. But many had in years gone by. Christ Jesus is the way to the Father and always has been anyone who believed the promise of God, or the living word is believing the same word that was made flesh (Jesus). God who cannot lie promised before the foundation of the world, and any who believed would be saved and become a partaker of eternal life.
The Apostle Paul wrote: “Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;” Titus 1: 2
No matter when you were born the promise was given for all who believe. There is no salvation without the Holy Spirit, Eternal life is found in God Eternal who is Spirit. Our heavenly Father has been calling men out of Adams race from the start. For example, Enoch who walked so close to God that He was taken to heaven or King David who prayed for the Lord to not take His spirit from him. Many more who lived long before the day of Pentecost could be mentioned like Elijah, Elisha, Abraham, Job and etc.
Beloved, the Church was born in the heart of God before the foundations of the world.
The Church was in the heart of the Father all along. “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ef.1: 3,4
The Eternal Creator is not limited by time-space or matter. He created them. He is able to see the future planer than we see the present. We were chosen or elected according to His ability to know us before we were ever born. He must have seen us believing in His Only Begotten Son which evidently pleased Him.
" Elect according to the FOREKNOWLEDGE of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace be multiplied." 1 Peter 1: 2
Frankly, I am taken back by the scholars of our day. They teach that the Bible is the holy inspired, infallible, word of God and they are absolutely correct. It is good they teach it but it is terrible when they don't believe it.
Did God love all of Adams’s Generation? Yes. Is God a respecter of persons? Of course not. He gave His Son for the whole world this is why the Lamb was slain before the foundations of the world. Read Rev.13: 8
They teach that we must interpret the word of God in its context again they are right. However, often fail to do so.
They also acknowledge that the sixty-six books of the Bible make up one inspired book. Therefore in order to teach in context, the verse that you want to interpret must agree with the chapter, with the particular book.
Besides all the sixty-six books. If all the books were inspired by the Holy Spirit and make one book then all 66 books agree one with the other.
For Example, Jesus said: “I am the way the truth and the life and NO MAN cometh to the Father but by me.” Praise God it is true and Jesus has been bringing people to the Father from the beginning. Those who believe the same promise are justified by faith just like we are. The son of Adam, Abel, for example, was considered righteous by God.
" By faith, Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh." Hebrews 11: 4
“By faith, Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became the heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Heb.11: 5-7
" Jesus also said: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. " John 3: 3 Does this mean any man from any generation? Absolutely, if any man has not the Spirit of Christ he is none of his. read Ro. 8: 9
Our triune omniscient God is so wise and so loving. That Peter wrote:
" The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3: 9
Wise because He provided the promise at the perfect moment that all could be saved because He is not willing that any should perish.
" In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;" Titus 1: 2 When God who cannot lie makes a promise it is an established matter. God upon giving the promise for His Son to be crucified for us, considers it done.
The Lamb of God, that takes away the sin of the world, was slain before the foundations of the world. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The promise was given before the corruptible world was created. Absolutely incorruptible promise given before corruption ever existed. “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 1Pt. 1: 18-20 The promise was given early but was manifested in these last times.
“Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. Heb. 9: 25,26
" But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;"
Hebrews 10: 12. Isn't He marvelous? The Church is
CALLED OUT OF THE WHOLE GENERATION OF ADAM. From the first generation to the last.
Chapter Four
What a Mighty Savior! I pray that our Father will allow me to speak of His mighty works, he is worthy of much more honor than is presently being given to Him. The greatness of His mighty work has been hidden by the smallness of mind and heart. It is not in us to readily comprehend such a holy and righteous work as our Saviour’s. Isaiah under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote. " Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and the last; I am he." Isaiah 41: 4
Does he ask who hath done it? Calling the generations from the beginning. Then the Lord acknowledges that it was Him the first and the last. Interesting seeing he was crucified from the first and the last. Jesus taught that the last shall be first. The point is he is doing His work of salvation from the beginning.
The anointed Prophet again speaks. Is. 51: 7 “ Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.”
( The Lord is speaking to all that know righteousness, that would be all that are saved by grace. Righteousness is imputed by faith. The people in whose heart is my law. He is not saying those who are under the law but those who have the law in their hearts. Does this sound familiar?
" This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;"
Hebrews 10: 16 The Lord is teaching by the Holy Spirit in the book of Hebrews. This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days. Those days, being the days they were under the law. The law was given as a schoolmaster to bring them to Christ but once they come to Christ they no longer were under a schoolmaster. Read Galatians 3: 24
The covenant was “ I will put my law into their hearts”
There is no need to be under the yoke of bondage. When it is in your heart to do the will of God you are free. The schoolmaster had set these believers free.
Isaiah is speaking to the righteous believers in his day and it doesn't matter what day you live in. Our Savior is able to write his laws in our hearts.
Isaiah continues. Is. 51: 8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation from generation to generation. (This is showing us that if it weren't for the grace of God all would have been destroyed but He has graciously brought salvation from generation to generation.
King David who had a heart after God understood the greatness we are speaking of, he said: " I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations." Psalms 89: 1
He wanted everyone to know, of God's faithfulness to all generations. This is also my desire in writing this book entitled, A Book Of the Generation of Adam. I want to make known to all in this generation, Our Lord' faithfulness to all mankind.
Our Lord made a covenant with David.
Psalms 89: 3-5 “ I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Thy seed will I establish forever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah. And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.”
" He hath remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations." Psalms 105: 8
This was easy for God to make this promise because it’s His heart’s desire. Beside The fact that He loves David and all his seed.
The rulers in the earthly kingdoms seldom acknowledge God and His sovereign rule. In the book of Daniel is found an interesting account of a proud king who was humbled by God and brought to his senses. Read what he says after his great enlightenment.
" And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes unto heaven, and my understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:" Daniel 4: 34. It appears that the Lord's kingdom is everlasting and is from generation to generation. Our God Reigns.
Jesus baffled the Jews when he said: “
" Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. " John 8: 56
" Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?" John 8: 57
" Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. " John 8: 58
Today I am often asked where is Jesus in the old testament? Meaning the first part of the Bible. I marvel at such a question because He is everywhere. He is the LIVING WORD and on every page. Jesus said: “Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.” The man of faith saw what many cannot see.
When the Living Word was made flesh, is not when He became the Son of God. He is the great I Am. Those who believed the Word of God like Abraham were born of the word of God and knew God. " And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. " John 17: 3 God is Spirit and those who know Him, know Him in Spirit and truth.
The Jews even though they were talking to Jesus did not know Him. Unbelief is the work of darkness and hides reality that is seen clearly by those who believe.
Those who believed the promises that were written long ago lived in the will of God almighty by the grace that only faith can bring. Without faith, it is impossible to please God or do His will.
In this time we have many who quote important verses as if, they believe them. When in reality they don't. For example, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Jesus Christ is not believed to be the same Christ who walked in Galilee as the same Christ that Abraham knew. Abraham knew him and even called him his friend. As revealed in the text above it is not a given they would know by simply meeting him. Therefore many were willing to have Him crucified.
Christ the living word of God can only be revealed by His Spirit.
" For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ." Galatians 1: 12
Our gracious heavenly Father has made salvation available for all and as seen to it that the good news was proclaimed for the fallen seed of Adam. All like Abraham who believed were blessed with the proclamation of the promise. “And I will make thee EXCEEDINGLY FRUITFUL and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and thy seed after thee. And I will give unto thee, and thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Gen.17: 6-8. No one in all the Bible apart from Jesus has been as fruitful. The man known as the friend of God tops them all.
He trusted God to the degree of offering his beloved Isaac up as an offering for he knew in his Heart God would provide himself a lamb.
Because God had commanded. “And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together. And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” " And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together." Genesis 22: 8
“ And Abraham stretched forth his hand and took the knife to slay his son.
And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.” Gen.22: 10-12
One day I was reading Hebrews 11 and it says Abraham offered up his only son. I thought no he didn't, he offered up a ram in his place.
" By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, " Hebrews 11: 17
But then I realized as far as God was concerned he offered up Isaac in his heart. In the same way, Jesus was offered up before the foundation of the world as the lamb that would take away the sin of the world.
“And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; ( they seed as the stars of heaven and as the sand upon the seashore, that is a lot of people. Have you ever seen this many believers? No, nor have I.)
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. (Christ Jesus was born of the seed of Abraham and He is the seed that has blessed all nations.) Gen.22: 16-18
I know you think that is because we are the seed of Abraham and the ones who believe after us also. Which is true indeed. But what people miss is there was an innumerable number of believers who died in the faith (That's all I want, to die in the faith) having not seen the promises. That is they died before Christ came. “Therefore sprang there even of one (Abraham), and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.” He.11: 12,13
These all died in faith believing the same promise that brings us the hope of the same salvation provided by Christ Jesus before the foundations of the world.
Our Lord God Reigns and is mighty to save this great
(the innumerable number is already there in the presence of God.) Nevertheless, our great Savior is still adding to the seed of Abraham those who believe.
“ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.Heb.12: 1,2
Chapter Five
In the previous chapter, we took notice of the glorious salvation that our Lord God has managed to do in spite of a world where Satan is gaining ground in so many areas. Most of the time we are hearing that sin is increasing and it is, especially in the murdering of our babies, immorality, homosexuality, and frequent notifications of ministers involved in adultery.
These notifications tend to discourage anybody from being involved in reaching out to the lost souls of Adam`s race. Therefore it is of utmost importance at this time for Bible school professors to bring to light the ability our Savior has shown throughout time in calling out from Adams race those who He has chosen before the foundation of the world. Our Lord God is still on the throne and nothing is too hard for Him. A good football coach will manage to convince his team they are able to bring down the strongest opponents. He won't ignore informing them of the strength of their foes but a wise coach will get them to see their own abilities.
With that being said, I want to talk about. Something I know is truly on the heart of our Lord and Savior.
* The Great Commission! *
Go, Ye!
“ And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God.
And they (the believers) went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working WITH THEM and confirming the word with signs following. Mark 16: 15-20
Notice it doesn't say they followed after signs and wonders but the signs followed after them. Today it is far too common for professing Christians to follow after signs. They will say things like, did you hear what is happening in ( a certain church) they are seeing many people being healed and other great miracles, so they invite others to go and see. We don't need to see miracles to believe but those who believe, will obey in taking out the gospel, then the signs will follow.
It's important to notice the Lord worked with them.
The Lord isn't looking for people to work for Him but with Him. There are a lot more willing to work for Him rather than with Him. A good number of believers sincerely are working for God and quite a few are working hard. They have a vision of doing a lot of good things. They have an agenda, a work of their own and they want God to help them fulfill it. There are those who have labored for years and end up frustrated and many burnout. This is the root of denominationalism their vision is their work. Unlike Abraham “who looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”He.11: 10 Jesus said I will build my church. Ma.16: 18
He isn't looking for anybody to build it for Him. He has been doing a good job for many generations. It is a real privilege to work with Him. He is not so interested in helping us do our work let us learn to go forth in obedience looking for the city He is building. Jesus understood this and Paul and many who have been instrumental in extending the Kingdom of God. ,” Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. " John 5: 19 Our Lord isn't looking for men that are strong and prepared but like He told Paul.
" And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12: 9
Our Lord's strength is made known with those who humble themselves like Moses said “ O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.” Ex.4: 10-12
Those who preach the word, With Him, are truly loved and protected. And it becomes evident (signs following) but the evidence follows obedience it does not proceed it. Those who work with God have special privileges such as His divine protection. David understood this therefore he prayed wisely.
" Keep me as the apple of the eye (so protected), hide me under the shadow of thy wings, " Psalms 17: 8
How well protected is the apple (pupil) of the eye?
Working with God requires us to give our eyes to Him. We must refrain from allowing our eyes to wander. Because. “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil (not single) thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Ma.6: 22,23 We must not compromise or be of a double mind.
Eyes that are being used by God will be protected by Him. Much better working with Him.
Hide me under the shadow of thy wings. This request is intimate and practical. Like the hen hiding her chicks from the cat under her wings. A shadow can be very ; comforting when it gives you a cool place out of the burning sun. Does an invisible God cast a shadow He indeed does but we need to learn to look for it. Confidence of the Lord's’ presence is high on the list of things desired by the majority of those desiring to abide in his will. We walk by faith not by sight however we still need to recognize the shadow of the Almighty. Our heavenly Father has many ways of confirming His presence. Many look for the gifts of the spirit to confirm His presence. The gifts of the spirit are not that reliable truth, that is needed. Because there are other forces that can do miracles. However the fruit of the Spirit come from one source, the tree is known by its fruit. Gal.5: 22 Unfortunately we have greatly underestimated the importance of it.
Those who abide in the Spirit grow accustomed to the comfort that the fruit brings. Like the shade of the tree.
" How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings." Psalms 36: 7 The Invisible God has a shadow that covers those who work with Him. Come and rest under this shadow. This shadow is the evidence of His presence. If you doubt His presence you cannot rest. The fruit of the Spirit is true evidence, love, joy, peace... Paul and Silas rested in these signs and when they were imprisoned were able to sing and give praises in the face of suffering. The joy of the Lord is your strength. The peace of God passes all understanding, If you look for it you will see it. These signs follow those who believe. When we lack the fruit of the Spirit His presence is not evident. There is only one fruit but with many flavors; if we lack any flavor we should be concerned. It's like a symptom that indicates we are becoming sick. The verse in Galatians is often misquoted, by saying the fruits it does not say fruits but fruit.
“Go Ye”
This is how the King James translated it. I fully am convinced it’s by far the best translation we have in the English language.
The word YOU can be confusing, in some cases it means you singular and in others it means you plural. Go ye means, go all of you.
All believers, are commanded to go into all the world and preach the gospel. (good news)
He is not saying go you Pastores to believers and preach. He is not saying invite the lost to come to the Church. He is commanding the Church (all believers) to go to the lost of the world and preach to every creature.
The last message Jesus preached before being taken up to heaven. Is the most important word for us to hear.
He did not say if you feel called or have been to bible school, or have a title, but commanded all to go.
Chapter Six
The responsibility of making disciples in all nations and the preaching of the good news to the perishing has been given unto those who have benefited from the same. The amount of participation reflects the actual benefit received. The magnitude of the benefit is only known by those who have participated in it.
The word of God gives us light on the things which are hindering the progress of the gospel.
It would behoove us to look at these things that are hindering the progress of the gospel.
Our (me) TRADITIONS are taking too much importance, and rendering us useless.
" Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." Colossians 2: 8
" Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. " Mark 7: 13
Such as Clergy. a-Laity, a tradition that has almost stopped the spreading of the gospel. This doctrine exalts a few to do the work ( for the Lord) and the rest just sit back and watch. Jesus hates this doctrine. Rev 2: 6 Jesus hated this doctrine. They are not kept like the apple of His eye. Therefore they fail to see the shadow of His presence. This is why we have so many burnouts
" But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. " Revelation 2: 6
This evil doctrine has been around a long time. When Luther left the Roman Church he brought along a lot of baggage with him. We don't need it and we should learn to hate what Jesus hates. The division of clergy-laity has hindered the growth and development of the believers. When the believers are not active they don't develop and fail to be fruitful.
They also love the taking of titles. Jesus taught: “But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are BRETHREN. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. (MASTERS are served and obeyed.) But he that is greatest among you shall be your SERVANT.” Ma.23: 5-11 May the Lord Jesus give the church the ability to cast off this yoke of clergy-laity. Most are not even aware of it. They are sincerely doing what they think is right. In spite of the heavy burden, let us pray for them to come and work WITH Him and find rest under the shadow of His presence. And be kept as the Apple of our Lord's eye.
We find a piece of wisdom in the book of Job. “Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.” Job 32: 21,22
Unfortunately, this wisdom is lacking among many believers today. Often reverend is added to their title. In the Bible, we only find this title written once and that for good reason.
" He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is his name." Psalms 111: 9 Who is worthy to take His name? None of the apostles used this title nobody in the bible but God.
Today the title most popular is Pastor. The word Pastor is only written once in the bible. Jer. 17: 16
Sheppard is used often which means the same. Then we have the word pastors in Ef. 4: 11 But a Shepherd does not drive his sheep he leads them and cares for them, feeds them finds water for them heals the wounded. He is willing to lay down his life for them.
Many have made being a Pastor their profession. Like doctor, architect, mechanic....there way of making a living. Those who seek first the Kingdom of God DON'T need to make a living. The living is promised. In Mat 6: 33
Jesus also said; “ I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
Thank God that there are a good number of those who have taken the Title Pastor who are not hirelings and are true shepherds. But there are quite a few hirelings and the hireling fleeth, because he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep.” John 10: 11-13
Shepards or pastors do not reproduce sheep, sheep reproduce sheep, and we should expect them to be fruitful. When two people marry little ones are expected to be added. Christ Jesus is the husband of each one of his sheep. When we have a proper relationship with Him people will be added to the fold.
Chapter Seven
The pouring out of righteousness.
" Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it."
(Isaiah 45: 8)
This is by far the most excellent display of His creative abilities. Like the newborn baby in the hands of the mother for the first time. She is overwhelmed and wants to inspect the lovely creature in detail.
" Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:" Isaiah 46: 3
This is of the utmost importance for Him. "Let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together. He has labored much and like the farmer waiting for the sprouts of life to spring up, from the seed in the soil. The miracle takes place with the joining of the two. When the Cyrus' of the earth go forth seeking the treasures of the darkness they proclaim the Word of God, which sounds as foolishness in the ears of the unbelievers but for the believers, it is the best news they ever heard. Upon hearing faith is formed, in the heart of the sinner and hope rushes in, freeing him from despair. Faith in the heart of the hopeful soul clings to the Living Word of God. The two are made one, then the richest treasure in heaven is poured out, the Righteousness of God, and is imputed to the new babe in Christ Jesus. " I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. Is.45: 21-23
The believers have been foreknown like, Cyrus, called and sent. "For Jacob my servant's sake and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee though thou hast not known me. I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:" Is.45: 4,5
The nation of Israel had been held captive in Babylon for seventy years as predicted by the prophet Jeremiah. “And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.” Jer. 25: 11,12
The Lord God is truly doing an astonishing work in the earth. For not only had he predicted the captivity. He also predicted the King who would be used to free Israel from Babylon. He even called him by name 150 years before he was born. By the prophet Isaiah.
“Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: “ Is 45: 1-5
As it is well displayed here our Lord God is accomplishing His desired will in the earth.
“ Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself; That frustrates the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof: That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers: That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid. Is. 44: 23-28 We now are sent like Cyrus and He will make the crooked places straight and we will break the gates of brass. And He will give us the treasures of darkness. These treasures are found in “The Generation of Adam” from every kindred tribe, nation, and people.
(Rev.5: 9)
" Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it." Isaiah 45: 8
